Measles Case Reported After Flights From Tel Aviv to Krakow and Back
The Central District Health Bureau of the Ministry of Health reported that a traveler took Wizz Air flight W6 2098 from Tel Aviv to Krakow on Sunday, October 19, 2025, departing at 11:00 a.m. They returned on Wizz Air flight W6 2097 from Krakow to Tel Aviv on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, landing at Ben-Gurion Airport at 10:00 a.m.
Passengers on these flights are encouraged to ensure they are vaccinated according to the Ministry of Health’s guidelines.
The Ministry advises unvaccinated pregnant women, people with weakened immune system, and infants under one year old who were onboard these flights to contact their local health bureau to discuss getting preventive immune globulin for measles.
The Ministry also urges anyone feeling unwell or experiencing the symptoms listed below to avoid large gatherings and protect their family and close contacts.
If you have been in contact with someone who has measles, the Ministry recommends you continue testing and vaccinations as directed and avoid public places.
If you need to visit a clinic or emergency room, please arrange your visit in advance and notify the medical staff when you arrive.
Measles is a highly contagious viral illness that can cause fever, fatigue, runny nose, and rash, and may lead to serious and life-threatening complications.
The Ministry highlights the importance of routine vaccinations against diseases like measles, some of which can result in severe complications or death.
To check your immunization status or make an appointment, contact your health maintenance organization (HMO) or call the our hotline at *5400. The hotline is available Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
