17 Arrested During National Crackdown on Dangerous Driving

Jerusalem, 19 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — During the past weekend, an initiative was held in Israel by the National Traffic Police, with the participation of hundreds of police officers and volunteers.

During the activity, 17 drivers were arrested, 71 drivers were caught driving while intoxicated, 839 were caught using phones while driving, 162 driver’s licenses were revoked, and 3,763 reports were recorded for various offenses.

“The activity was intended to strengthen governance on intercity roads across the country, while enforcing the law and preventing road accidents that could cause loss of life,” said the police.
