New Comprehensive Education Plan Completed for Returning Hostages

Jerusalem, 15 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Education completed a comprehensive preparation plan for the return of the hostages who were held in Gaza, it said is designed to ensure emotional, educational, and community support for students from the affected areas, in both individual and systemic aspects.

This is a long-term mission, aimed at helping students, parents, and staff cope with the return of the returnees, with loss and bereavement, and foster a sense of security, belonging, and hope.

The program, which was formulated by the Psychological Counseling Service (PSC), the Director of Society and Youth, the district directors, and professionals from the field, is a continuation of a comprehensive program that has been in operation since the beginning of the war.

It includes clear guidelines for school principals and educational teams, and is based on psycho-educational principles of strengthening resilience, guidance, support, and a response tailored to needs.

At its center is the creation of an emotional, social, and educational environment for students from the families of the abductees, alongside support for educators and communities.
