Israeli Forces Find Terror Tunnel and Weapons Making Machinery Near Gaza Hospital

Jerusalem, 4 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — During what the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) described as a focused operation in southern Gaza City, its forces located a tunnel shaft near the Jordanian hospital area, which led to an underground lathe for manufacturing weapons.

The tunnel. Said the IDF, is part of a military post of the Hamas terrorist organization, which, according to intelligence indications, was occupied by the organization’s department and company commanders. It is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and contains production rooms, conference rooms, and senior officials’ rooms.

In addition to the tunnel located near the Jordanian hospital, Israeli forces located another shaft under the Hamad Hospital in Gaza City.

“The Hamas terrorist organization operates systematically in hospital areas, exploiting humanitarian facilities for military purposes,” said the IDF. “For years, the organization has established an underground system beneath hospitals throughout the Strip, which is used to produce weapons and conduct combat.”

The IDF also stated that the Hamas activities near the Jordanian hospital were not with the involvement or knowledge of the Jordanians.
