Jerusalem, 2 november, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s ministry of Transport and Road Safety and the National Public Transportation Authority, in cooperation with the Sderot Municipality and the Dan Ba Darom Public Transportation Company, announced the opening of a new era in public transportation in the city. Starting this Friday, (Nov. 7), “significant changes and improvements” will take place in the city’s public transportation lines.
Sderot is located just a couple of kilometers north of Gaza and was overrun by terrorists during the October 7 massacre.
“The move will bring with it a significant upgrade in the service experience for city residents, and includes the addition and expansion of lines in the city and in the new neighborhoods of Sderot in the Park, Kalaniyot, and Neot Shikma, as well as upgrading and expanding service in the neighborhoods of Ben Gurion (Kesdor), Neot Haneviim, and Neot Yitzhak Rabin. In addition, some of the travel routes will be shortened and the frequency of urban lines to the train station, the industrial zone, and Sapir College will be increased,” said the Authority.
